Alberta Charlayne Hunter-Gault (born February 27, ) is an American civil rights activist, journalist and former foreign correspondent for National Public Radio, CNN, and the Public Broadcasting Service.

Alberta Charlayne Hunter was born in Due West, South Carolina, daughter of Col.
